Maintenance Supervisor

Columbus, OH — Short North Area

$30.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience

Full-Time | Benefits | On-Call Rotation

Lead. Mentor. Build Something You're Proud Of.

If you're an experienced apartment maintenance professional who's ready to take the next step in your career—or you're already leading a team and looking for the right company to grow with—we'd love to meet you.

We're seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations across a portfolio of luxury apartment communities in the Short North area of Columbus, totaling approximately 120 apartment homes.

This isn't a position where you'll spend your day behind a desk. We're looking for a leader who enjoys working alongside their team, solving problems, supporting residents, and setting the standard for quality maintenance.

If you're someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys mentoring others, and believes no task is beneath you, this could be an excellent long-term opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations while remaining actively involved in the work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting the maintenance team
  • Prioritizing daily work orders and emergency service requests
  • Performing and overseeing apartment turns
  • Troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance issues
  • Coordinating preventive maintenance programs
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies
  • Ensuring community appearance and safety standards remain high
  • Providing outstanding customer service to residents
  • Participating in the on-call rotation

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 5+ years of apartment maintenance experience
  • Previous apartment maintenance leadership experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general repairs
  • EPA Certification (preferred, not required)
  • Experience managing apartment turns and preventive maintenance
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

You'll Stand Out If You

  • Lead by example rather than from the office
  • Enjoy mentoring technicians
  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Take ownership without waiting to be asked
  • Believe resident satisfaction starts with quality maintenance
  • Have experience in luxury or Class A apartment communities

Why This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to join a company that values quality, teamwork, and long-term success.

You'll have the chance to:

  • Lead a close-knit maintenance team
  • Work within a luxury apartment portfolio
  • Make a direct impact on the resident experience
  • Build your career with a respected property management company
  • Join a team that values professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday–Friday
  • On-call rotation required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Paid Time Off
  • Holiday Pay
  • Professional growth opportunities

Before You Apply

To be considered, applicants should have previous apartment maintenance experience and be comfortable completing both leadership responsibilities and hands-on maintenance work. Final candidates must successfully complete the company's standard pre-employment process.
