Maintenance Technician

This role is perfect for someone who likes variety in their day. One moment you may be troubleshooting a maintenance issue in an apartment home, and the next you could be helping improve the overall appearance of the community. No two days are exactly the same.
You'll work closely with the Property Manager and become an important part of keeping the community running smoothly while providing excellent service to residents.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responding to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Diagnosing and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues
- Troubleshooting problems and determining the best repair solutions
- Turning apartment homes quickly and efficiently for new residents
- Assisting with preventative maintenance programs
- Maintaining the overall appearance and curb appeal of the property
- Communicating professionally with residents regarding maintenance updates
- Working with vendors and team members to complete projects
- Using a tablet or mobile device to manage work orders and document completed work
- Helping ensure supplies and materials are available when needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, hotel maintenance, or property management maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage priorities and stay organized throughout the day
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to provide your own hand tools
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on position that requires:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Climbing ladders
- Bending, kneeling, and working in tight spaces
- Lifting up to 75 pounds
