Apartment Maintenance Technician – Multiple Openings

Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

Multiple direct-hire opportunities are available for dependable, experienced maintenance professionals throughout the greater Pittsburgh area.

We are seeking hands-on technicians who can troubleshoot common property-maintenance issues, complete quality repairs, and provide professional service within occupied residential communities. Candidates from multifamily housing, residential property management, senior living, hospitality, healthcare, education, and facilities maintenance are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $21–$23 per hour, based on relevant experience

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000, paid at designated intervals throughout the first year

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daylight hours, with occasional weekends and rotating on-call coverage

Multiple full-time openings are available throughout the Pittsburgh area. Some positions may support more than one nearby community based on operational needs. Mileage is reimbursed for required travel between assigned locations.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete resident service requests and general property repairs
  • Diagnose and repair common plumbing issues involving faucets, toilets, leaks, pipes, disposals, and water heaters
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical issues involving switches, outlets, lighting, ceiling fans, and climate controls
  • Assist with heating, cooling, appliance, and other building-equipment repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance and document completed work
  • Support property, move-in, move-out, and regulatory inspections
  • Complete apartment turnovers, painting, and drywall repairs
  • Assist with groundskeeping and seasonal snow removal
  • Maintain tools, supplies, equipment, and a safe work area
  • Coordinate with approved vendors when specialized repairs are required
  • Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule
  • Provide courteous and professional service to residents and team members

Full-Time Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of maintenance experience; or a combination of relevant hands-on experience and formal trade training
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, painting, drywall, and general building maintenance
  • Valid, active Pennsylvania driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation and access to a registered and insured vehicle
  • Ability to travel between nearby assigned locations when needed
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use an electronic work-order system
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize requests, and respond appropriately to emergencies
  • Strong customer-service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable attendance and a commitment to following through on scheduled responsibilities

Specialized training or certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or another maintenance trade are strongly valued. Candidates should clearly list relevant training and hands-on skills on their resumes.


Part-Time Maintenance Technician

A part-time opportunity is also available for approximately 20 hours per week.

Pay: $18–$20 per hour, based on experience

Sign-On Bonus: $1,000, paid at designated intervals throughout the first year

Schedule: Flexible schedule arranged with the hiring manager

This position is ideal for someone with foundational property-maintenance experience who is comfortable assisting with:

  • Basic maintenance and plumbing repairs
  • Apartment cleaning and turnovers
  • Painting and minor drywall repairs
  • Common-area upkeep
  • Groundskeeping and snow removal
  • General support for the onsite maintenance team

Candidates should have at least one year of related experience or training, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, basic computer skills, and a dependable, service-oriented approach.

Interview Process
