Property Manager – Affordable Housing
Manitowoc, WI | $70,000 annually + benefits | Potential relocation assistance
We’re looking for an experienced Property Manager to lead an established affordable housing community in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This role is a good fit for someone who has already built a foundation in property management and is ready to bring that experience to a community where it matters. You’ll have the support of a collaborative leadership team, the resources to do your job well, and room to keep growing.
What you’ll do
You’ll oversee daily operations, including occupancy, leasing, budgeting, and overall property performance. You’ll guide the onsite team, work closely with maintenance to keep the community safe and well maintained, and build strong relationships with residents, vendors, and ownership. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining compliance with LIHTC, Project-Based Section 8, and Fair Housing requirements.
What you’ll bring
Previous property management experience is essential for this role. We’re seeking someone with at least two years of experience who is comfortable taking ownership of a community’s day-to-day operations and supporting an onsite team. Experience managing LIHTC and/or Project-Based Section 8 apartment communities is also required. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills will help you succeed here. You should be comfortable using property management software and Microsoft Office. Yardi experience and affordable housing certifications are welcome, but neither is required.
